You have the right to raise a dispute of your Police Check
We take every precaution to ensure that police check results are accurate and valid. A police check requires your details to be checked against a national database with information sourced across multiple police jurisdictions. This means that unfortunately, errors sometimes do occur. If you believe your police check results are invalid or inaccurate, you have the right to raise a dispute.
You can dispute your police check results if:
- You believe the outcome to be inaccurate
- You believe the information should not have been released
- Part or all of the information does not belong to you
How can I dispute my police check results?
As an accredited agency, ProbityPeople can assist you in disputing your police check results. To raise a dispute, please email us at enquiries@probitypeople.com.au with a summary of your claim and any supporting documentation you may have. We will then lodge a dispute on your behalf to the relevant police agencies for investigation.
How long will it take to receive an outcome?
Depending on the complexity of the check, your dispute can take anywhere from one day to one month to be determined. The police agency investigating your dispute may need to source further information from external parties which may delay the outcome.
